How To: Install Motorola defy/defy+ ICS 4.0.3

kernel for defy :- m.cfa.aero/misc/CM7_Kernel-signed.zip
Kernel for defy + :- m.cfa.aero/misc/CM9_Kernel-signed.zip

Install guide

1:Make Sure your are on rooted stock rom with custom recovery instaled.
2:Backup up your all data(contact, sms, etc).
3:Wipe all data and factory setting.
4:Then Processed to rom installation part.

A How to on flashing ICS(Defy Plus Builds)

1:Head over to Stable Recovery from boot menu
2:Wipe Data (Nandroid Backup Before Doing this [optional])
3:Install Zip from SD
4:Select ur ICS(DefyPlus) zip
5:FLash
6:Flash CM9 Kernel
7:Flash Gapps zip
8:Clear Cache and Dalvik Cache

How To Flash ICS(Defy Builds)

1:Head Over To Stable recovery
2:Wipe Data
3:Install ZIp from SD Card
4:Select ICS(Defy) .zip
5:Flash
6:Flash CM7 Kernel
7:7:Flash Gapps zip
8:Clear Cache and Dalvik Cache

FIrst Boot will take some time...

    can u elaborate on step 1 not able to root my defy+ I tried 3-4 tools , read on xda after upgrading it becomes difficult to root
    and where can I get custom recovery

    -Wipe data/factory reset
    -Wipe ccahe partion
